We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Human Resources Intern to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a positive work environment, driving talent acquisition, and supporting employee development initiatives.
Job Description
Human Resources Intern will be responsible for managing and developing our organization’s workforce. Their focus will include recruiting and retaining top talent, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and promoting employee engagement and development initiatives. They will play a crucial role in aligning employee goals with organizational objectives to create a productive and supportive workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically update company policies related to staff conduct, compliance, and workplace standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date leave records for all staff.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s leave policies and relevant labor regulations.
  • Review and update leave policies as necessary, keeping management and staff informed of any changes.
  • Ensure staff awareness and adherence to updated policies by communicating and distributing policy changes effectively.
  • Maintain an inventory of company resources allocated to staff, such as laptops, dongles, and other essential equipment.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure all assets are accounted for and being used in compliance with company policies.
  • Keep comprehensive, up-to-date records of staff, including next-of-kin, emergency contacts, and other essential personal information.
  • Ensure that records comply with regulatory requirements and are maintained confidentially and securely.
  • Monitor and maintain records related to regulatory compliance, including health and safety standards, statutory requirements, and other employment laws.
  • Generate regular HR reports on leave utilization, policy updates, compliance, and asset management.
  • Support in implementing employee engagement initiatives and onboarding programs as needed.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Relevant Degree/Diploma in Human Resource or Any Other Related field from a recognized Institute.
  • Graduated within the last two (2) years or in the final year of study, and not more than twenty-six (26) years.
  • Recommendation/reference letter from University/ College attended.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
  • Rapid adaptability and swift skill acquisition in a dynamic work environment
Requirements
  • Must have a working Laptop throughout the program.
  • Dedicated to work for 6 months undisrupted.
  • Be able to finance yourself for the 6-month period.
  • Be able to work extra hours when required.

  • Be a person of Integrity.
  • Must be a goal-oriented, dynamic, self-motivated, and passionate individual.
  • Possess excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to solve problems.
  • Be proficient in computer skills.
