Sky World Limited is seeking a skilled and motivated Functional Consultant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for business requirements analysis, system configuration, implementation support, user training, and post-go-live support for Core Banking System & ERP solutions. This role bridges the gap between business users and technical teams to ensure systems align with operational and financial needs.
Job Description
The selected candidates will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring, implementing, and supporting Core Banking Systems and ERP solutions, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV. They will work closely with technical teams on customizations and integrations, support user testing and training, troubleshoot functional issues, and ensure systems effectively meet business and operational needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for Business Central / NAV solutions.
- Advise clients on best practices and standard system capabilities.
- Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV modules (Finance, Operations, Procurement, Inventory, Reporting, etc.).
- Support system setup, data migration, testing, and go-live activities.
- Work closely with developers during customization and integration efforts.
- Provide user training, demonstrations, and system walkthroughs.
- Develop functional documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
- Offer post-implementation support and functional issue resolution.
- Participate in unit testing, system testing, UAT, and regression testing.
- Validate functional correctness and business process alignment.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, developers, and project managers.
- Support project delivery timelines and change management activities.
- Ensure implementations align with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Support audits and compliance reviews when required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 1–4 years’ experience as a Functional Consultant or ERP implementation role
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV
- Strong understanding of business processes (finance, accounting, procurement, reporting)
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CRM, Power BI, or Power Platform
- A Certificate in Dynamics 365 BC, CRM or Power BI will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to financial institutions (SACCOs, MFIs, banks)
